I don't know but if it were PVA then i'd pour a few litres of cold water on the glue to dilute it so that it did not stick, and while still wet use either a professional carpet cleaning machine like a VAX or Rug doctor, or lots of old clothes/towels etc to mop up the mess then throw out or risk washing the cloths i used. again i'd still use a carpet cleaning machine to make sure i had got it all out.

water may be best to dilute most glues and try the above method.

this may work but it may make it worse (i'm going by what i'd do if it were me, based on nothing more than i used to work in DIY and PVA gets weaker the thiner (the more watered down) it gets.

good luck. i hope there is a better solution to this problem.

Very hot water would get it out, but what kind of glue did you use? If its that super glue I think you would need to call a carpet cleaning service

what kind of glue is it??? if elmers use a clean wet cloth.
if solvent based, get as much excess up as possible without rubbing it in to the carpet fibers. with a clean rag and mineral spirits blot the pemainder of the glue away

rag plus water get every thing you can get up now.

get some oxy clean mix up oxyclean + water into a almost a paste. leave it on for twenty minutes and then clean it up and see how it worked. I had black plastic melted into carpet and it worked

also get goo be gone. might want to try that first.

it works for most glues...

what kind of glue, you just need to use what ever it is based on. elmers glue is water based, supper glue can be removed with nail polish remover, petrolium based glues can be removed with thin petrolium products.

You need GOOF OFF.. even if it dries. Do NOT make the mess any bigger than it is already.

GOOD LUCK
