No one's civil rights or basic liberties were violated in the Lewinsky case. No one was detained without a lawyer, isolated from friends and family for years on end, and systematically tortured.

Ooops! That's Gitmo. Boy, this Administration is rife with problems, isn't it?

Abu Ghraib was a travesty, inflicted on prisoners by perverse captors who became no better than the thugs and torturers under Saddam's rule.

As a French, the Lewinsky affair isn't that important for me. Because it belongs to the private life of Bill. And in France our former President had a hidden girl with onather woman and we did learn about it a bit before he died. But in the US it took a huge proportion, even a scandal.

But Abu Ghraib was really a big issue as it didn't help your situation in Irak and the middle east. You were already disliked but after that it became worse. And with Lewinsky, nobodies except Clinton's pride was hurt, but with the jail, prisonners were tortured and humiliated, deprived of their human condition, the only left thing they had. It sure was a bad thing to do.

But the soldiers were prosecuted and put in jail, so the end was better.

Monica Lewinsky was all about pleasure.

Abu Ghraib, was all about pain.

Let's see, in the Monica Lewinsky affair the leader of the free world committed perjury (a felony) in front of a grand jury and got away with it. During Abu Ghraib, a few enlisted soldiers were convicted of abusing terrorists.

I think it's a tie.

same Israel crap

Monica= Jewish

Bush Regime = Jews

By Joel Leyden
Israel News Agency

"...Jerusalem----April 2.....The American Jewish Congress today congratulated Paul Wolfowitz on his election as the president of the World Bank.

"When President Bush says, "America will not permit the world's most dangerous regimes to threaten us with the world's most destructive weapons" -- that's Wolfowitz talking. When the president calls for "a new Arab charter that champions internal reform, greater political participation, economic openness and free trade" -- that's Wolfowitz's talking, too. But perhaps the greatest measure of Wolfowitz's influence is that Colin Powell now waxes rhapsodic about an Iraq "on the road to democratic self-government." This from the man who, after the first Gulf War, mocked: "Where's Iraq's Thomas Jefferson?" To our ears, the sudden stress on Mideast democratization is "transformative," to use the Pentagon jargon. Israel has long waited for an administration that understands.."

Well unless your an absolute moron, these two things are as different as day and night.Further do yu believe Clinton was/is the only president to misuse the office.
Abu Ghraib was the systemic torture, rape and murder of prisoners at the hands of despotic criminals.Of course the Pentagon said it was only 3 low ranking soldiers.Americans might swallow this garbage, but people with a little bit of intelligence, see it for what it was,A cover up,that the CIA were in up to thier filthy necks.

Well, I could careless if the Prez wants to get a hummer while in office. Clinton could have done much better. Look at JFK and Marilyn Monroe. BUT, Clinton lying under oath was horrible.

As for Abu Ghraib, again, I could careless. I was outraged at first until I talked to a friend who returned from Iraq. He asked me how far I would go to save my brother? The answer is to the ends of the Earth. He said that is how he feels about the guys he is stationed with.

In the end, it just taught our government to be more discreet. Prez will always get blow jobs from women who aren't their wives and the US will always use what ever means necessary to achieve their objectives.

Irrelevant. Clinton's affair is an issue between him and his wife, ONLY. Abu Ghraib was where taxpayer funds were used in the process of torturing Iraqis. One was "immoral", one was blatantly illegal and immoral.
