it stars michael pere(eddie and the cruisers) about a ww2 ship that gets caught in some kind of time warp and the shipmates get frozen into the metal of the ship.

Ahhhh, great movie! Loved it. The aboves are correct it is the Philadelphia Experiment and it is loosely based on an actual even thought to have taken place with Albert Einstein being a part of it. True that, look it up on the web. This movie is available on DVD, I just added it to my NetFlix que yesterday. I watched Eddie and The Cruisers on New Years Day and it got me to thinking about this movie. Wish Michale Pare would have had a bigger career as he is gorgeous.
