NO, slaves are treated slaves,if so then the blacks would find a good reason to hate again, totally,hatred will never putted aside when there is slavery.....

At the time they were better off than most immigrants. They weren't hated, they were necessary. Hatred didn't spring full blown until Reconstruction.
Of course, as slaves, they couldn't have a fellow African as the National Security Advisor, or Supreme Court Justice.
Ophra Winfrey and Bill Cosby were among the richest people in the US. They wouldn't have happened if there was/is that much hatred.

Slavery wasn't a matter of hatred. Africans were seen as sub-human, barely better than animals, and they were treated worse than fine horses and hunting dogs were. They were used as a commodity, like tobacco or cotton--property which wasn't even worthy of hate.
Even without beatings and sexual mistreatment, slaves still would not have been paid for their work, free to leave their homes, or assured of remaining with their spouses and children.
How could that be better?

I hope you're not black, and if you are, why would you as such a stupid question, really? Would want to be a slave today? Would you like to wake up in the morning to cornmeal mush and fat back? How bout waking up at 5am to get started in the cotton field? How bout if you get snatched up by massa in the midnight hour cause he wants to "make love" to you and your husband has no say so?
There is no way that slavery can exist without hatred dumb one. Why would you put someone you consider your equal in that position, it doesn't work that way. A slave is someone or a group of people that another group of people regard as animals, beast, filth.
What did they teach you in school?

Do you live in some backward *** part of this country? I can't believe somebody in this day and age would even entertain a thought like that. Go read some history on the days of slavery and not the ones you find in a the public schools and then answer your own question. Hatred or none...it was wrong!!!

OMG!! I don't even know where to start.That's why there is hatred. Because they were slaves.No one should be a slave, Black, Jew, White, Pink or purple! Put yourself in a day of life as a Black slave,and then tell us!

No,I doubt it. I dont see many lifetime movies celebrating slavery. They were not the only slaves however. How does hard manual labor, beatings, etc sound to you. Give it a try and write a book tell your tales of slavery.

Slaves were killed, lynched, beaten, whipped, raped, separated from their families, sold in auctions like cattle, made to work from sun-up to sun-down, on and on. The only benefactors of slavery were the masters...
