Check with your local school district, their substitute teacher list, colleges and universities.

Since most private school teachers will be working during the school year you might find a college student with a strength in the areas you need by posting an ad at the career center. If you are planning to be home schooled some states require that the teacher have a credential. There are umbrella home schooling organizations that can help you as well. My favorite choice for finding a really good teacher is to look for a retired one through either a senior center, a teacher union or word-of mouth. Good Luck!

I would see if your area has a special ed school, or if your regular schools have a special ed class. Alot of teachers and paraeducators look for work on the side. I work as a para at a private school for autism & other special needs children, & we often have families looking for someone to go into their home & work with their child part or full time. Pay can be negotiated. Good luck.
