Ok, I just got the season 6 & 7 boxed sets and I noticed every time Buffy/Spike kiss, it looks like they're BOTH in pain. Does anyone know about this? Did they hate each other or did Joss direct them this way?

I have seen them all, I didn't write that sorry.
I was wondering more if it was a dislike between SMG and JM, than a buffy/spike thing.
Just watch them next time, I swear, it's painful watching them kiss :)

Buffy never expected to fall for spike, but i reckon the reason is because she is repulsed by wot she is doing but she is always attracted to bad guy.

They had wanted to have a story line where Buffy was in a unhealthy relationship the problem was that most viewers actually liked Buffy with Spike. It seemed that even though they had been enemies Spike's love for Buffy made him a better man but it didn't do anything that great for Buffy. It made her feel bad she does after all love Angel. Spike goes though alot to try to be a man/vampire that Buffy could love and respect. You should really watch the show from the beginning It's worth the time.

Buffy was really disgusted with herself for being with Spike but she couldn't help it. After she died (the second time) Spike was the only one who knew where she had gone(heaven) and the pain she was feeling being back on Earth( which after being in heaven felt like hell).So in that sense she felt close to him, but it was against both of their natures to be with each other.

the way the story went buffy was supposed to hate spike since he was a vampire & she was the slayer but for some real odd reason she had an atraction to him something like she had with angel. unreal huh?

she hates him but she hates herself more for wanting to be with him. she cant deal with her friends or her life so she goes to spike cuz she know that he loves her uncondionally. they talk about in the 7th season when faith and the other slayers kick her out of her house.
