Using the concept of hybridization of atomic orbitals, 'mixing' one d,one s and two p orbitals would give four dsp2 hybrid orbitals. These orbitals would point along the four vertices of a square with the nucleus at the center.
This type of dsp2 hybrid orbitals are conceptualized for the 'square planar' metal complexes.
