i recently took an IQ test but all i got was a score not a explanation.

An IQ of 118 shows that you're brighter than the average person though I wouldn't exactly consider that a high IQ. Since you mentioned that all you got was a score, I'm wondering if you took that IQ test online. You shouldn't trust IQ tests because in my experience the score they give you significantly deviates from your actual IQ. I recommend taking a test administered by a psychologist or a standardized test like Stanford-Binet.

118 is above average for a 14 year old. Average is about 100-104 depending on the test.

Hey, that's a good score for a 14 year-old. That's moderately above the average. Good Job...Remember IQ doesn't depict your future career at all...It only shows your standing comparable with society...:)

It is good, especially for your age. You are smarter than probably 85-90% of the kids your age. I don't know the exact percentage. My question for you is: How do you know what your IQ is? If you took an online IQ test, they are not that accurate, you have to actually go to a testing facility to get real results.

the average IQ is 98 to 100 118 is very high. Gifted

Sorry to say, but don't worry about it. as you grow, your IQ is going to bounce all over. it really doesn't point to anything until you're 24 or 25.

Probably low. If you had a good IQ you would know to Google "IQ scores" and find out how good it was. Sorry to be a smart *** but I didn't see any other answer, and I'm too lazy to Google it for you.

100 = Average
130 = Smart
118 = Above average, but not a genius (150).
