All of her stuff is still there. All she took was her bathroom stuff & a few clothes. She IS an adult & no one knows how to contact her family. We called her job & she quit in November! She's behind in rent, but that isn't really a problem. She is like "Family". We called the hospitals & the local jail & she isn't on any of their lists. What should we do next? Her "Uncle Larry" came to visit her in an RV & she went with this man & hasn't been seen since. Her cat is gone too. Any ideas? This is in California. I'm trying to help out my friends with this strange "disappearence"!

I believe that it was a few days BEFORE Christmas that she was last seen on the premises with a female friend that no one seems to recognize. She mentioned that she might be going to Vegas for a few days with the Uncle! Yes, she may have skipped, but she just got out of the hospital for gall stones & that's why we are worried about her! She's not returning her calls or answering emails. No one is angry at her.

Well if her cat is gone, some clothes and some stuff from the bathroom then maybe she left somewhere on purpose, but i say you should call the police right away if you are concerned.

If your worried call the police and tell them everything you said here. They will be able to tell you what the next best thing to do is. No one knows this person she left with? Are you sure she is safe. Those are the things I would be worried about. Something could have happened to her. She left most of her belongings and you said she is like family so she probably was not skipping out on you. I really say call the police on this one and talk to them. They will probably put an APB out on her so they can try to at least locate her and make sure she is safe and not with this man against her will.. Better safe then sorry in this day and age. Much luck to you.

I would file a missing person's complaint immediately. The likelihood that there will be any investigation is slight, since she is an adult of competence (assumed by how you are describing her), but if she were to show up some where a report may raise a flag.
Then contact any of her family and ask if they have seen her or uncle Larry. If Larry is not legit, the family member will hopefully raise a ruckus and this may help the LEO's to decide to search for her.

how long has she been missing?
obviously she knew she was going away for a few days, or she wouldnt have taken clothes and bathroom supplies. I would probably wait a week or so and then try to contact her family. Maybe you could check for a phone number on an old phone bill, or if you are really worried check her room (but i hope you realise that is a major breach of privacy) for some contact details for her family, to see if she really does have an uncle larry!
if all this fails, then have a chat to the cops. they maybe able to keep a look out for her until the time comes that she has been missing long enough for it to be suspicious.
Good luck, i hope you find her safe and sound shortly

If she hasn't done this before and doesn't seem to be the type to just go traveling on a whim...
File a "Missing Person" report with your local police department. They can track down and contact the family if necessary, and if the family is clueless, begin to initiate efforts to locate her.

How long has she been gone? Is there reason to believe she didn't leave of her own free will? Are you concerned about her safety, or is this more of a money issue?
If she left with a man she says was her uncle and took some clothing and toiletries, leaving the rest of her belongings--essentially letting you know she was leaving with someone she knew temporarily-- why would you feel compelled to call the police?

If it's not typical for her to disappear for a few days..maybe you should call the police....they can find out how to contact her family....and see if this "uncle" is legit.
If he isn't he has her a sex slave tied up in his RV somewhere..or shes dead.

not sure. i think that for adults its like a day or two. call the local police dept and ask them. i am glad to hear that someone is concerned for her welfare. you are good to worry rather than be mad about rent or stuff left behind. i would definitely follow up on this. if she is fine, no harm done, right?

Sounds like she ducked out on rent, but no harm in putting in a missing persons report with photo and maybe DNA samples!

It appears she is a 'missing person' then. Call the police and file a report.
