Ummm, the only other creature in the house to control the remote is a feline and she has absolutely no interest in television.

Why do you you use generalizations, when in fact it has nothing to do with gender but has everything to do with the individual themselves? Some men (and I am one of them) believe in sharing in a relationship...including the remote for the tv and stereo.

Speak for yourself, my ex never controlled the remote. I found it cute that he loved that Stargate whatever show (or was it something else?) but I wasn't going to watch it too.

Because in a relationship its the last stand men have. You control everything else.

Because we use it to actually look to see what's on, while you use it to stop at some channel randomly, then complain later that some other show was on at the same time that you missed, and somehow make it our fault.

I find an effective way to get my man to let go of something, such as a remote, is to tickle him. Works everytime.

too lazy to get up and change it by hand.Next time take the batteries out they will look for hours for new batteries but will not take five steps to the TV to change the channel!!! (It works I done it and got to watch what I wanted for a little while.)
