It has been the Republican Party that has always condoned brutal dictators so long as they served America's interests. Their aid of the tyrannical, murderous Somoza regime in Central America in the 70's and '80's in one example. They also supported Hussein against Iran. And even Noriega, until it was about to be leaked that he was supplying us drugs. And the Dems do not support communism. Wasn't it Kennedy who tried to overthrow Castro in the Bay of Pigs? As far as your question: you wuld usually think that the Dems are more prone to support amnesty, since it supports civil rights and freedom. But in this latest case about illegal aliens, they are pro amnesty for the simple reason that they support big business, and the illegal immigrants provide cheap labor to them. This is another example of how they do anything as long as it fits their agenda, regardless of who has to pay the price.

Democrats were pro-slavery in the 1800s. Democrats have traditionally been for communist states, and no matter how horrible a dictator is, they always want us to do nothing.
