The war was a bad idea. It was based on lies. Actually, I'm not sure anyone outside of Bush's inner circle knows the truth about the war. We have yet to be told the truth.
You are wrong about the insurgents, however. Ninety plus percent of the insurgents are Iraqis. The insurgents are mostly Iraqis that want us out of their country. If the U.S. were invaded by another country, I would hope that many of us citizens would also be insurgents.

It never ceases to amaze me that people like Kallie want to go to Iraq and kill people becuase of 9-11. Why is it that there are still people in the U.S. still think that Iraq had something to do with 9-11????

We should have pulled out by now we lost enough soldiers. Not only to death, but to mental issues because a lot of our men and women will never be the same after the stuff they had to endure. Civilians were minding there business on both sides in Iraq and here in the US. But as civilians we do not have much of a say when it comes to matters of defense.
But they truly need to figure out what they are going to do, its either crap or get off the pot, enough is enough.

Well, You have answered your questions. Majority of people in the World believe so. Now tell us where is the WMD and where are the Al-quida terrorists? It is the waste of precious human lives Iraqis and Americans , due to one man's folly. Now the sectarian violence in that Country has gone out of control of American Masters. As the proverb goes the man who caught the Tiger's tail doesn't know how to leave it!

there are some things worthing fighting and dying for. this war is not one of them. even if your intentions are good like for Vietnam. they dont see it the same way. during the Vietnam War this country tricked a whole generation of young men to travel 13 thousand miles to fight a war agianst a poor peasant people who have been struggling for their own independence for 1000 years the vietnamese people. i cant find the words to express how the leadership of this government sickens me. now people say if you dont love america then get the hell out. well i love america. i love the people of america very much but when it comes to the government it stops right there. the government is a bunch of currupt theives. they are rapists and robbers and we shouldnt have to take this anymore. they are killing our brothers over there. stop the bombing! stop the war! bring are brothers home now! 1!2!3!4! we dont want your ******* war! this isnt a country of the people. the government and the rich control it all. always have. always will. unless we do something about it.

It was a bad idea. I reckon that the aim of invading Iraq was to control the oil. but now that the USA has caused chaos, anarchy and civil war within Iraq, they are going to have to stay there until the whole affair is over - good luck.

Are you aware that our own military leaders in Iraq have stated (in direct contradiction Bush) that only a few percent of the insurgents are non-Iraqi?
And, the CIA has called Iraq, "the training ground for the next generation of 'professionalized' terrorists".
http://www.washingtonpost.com/ac2/wp-dyn...
According to the republican congress’ own 9/11 and pre-war intelligence reports:
-- there were NO terrorists in Iraq before Bush invaded
-- there was no connection between Iraq and OBL, AQ, or any terrorist organization
-- Hussein did not provide training camps to terrorists
-- Hussein hated AQ before we did
-- Hussein did not hide al-Zargawi - he tried to have him arrested,
-- and, of course, there were no WMDs.
Most Iraqis believe:
1.)that life was better and ,more secure under Hussein’s control than it is under US control,
2.) that it is OK to attack and kill American soldiers, and
3.)they consider America a foreign occupying force want it to leave the country.

Bad idea to go in and now they can't figure out a way to get out without looking foolish so they'll let more soldiers be killed to save face. Pathetic political foulup as usual with others paying the price.

my opinion is thats the idea ... create just enough chaos to have an excuse to sit on top of one of the world largest oil supplies indefinitely ...and meanwhile build up military strength in the region so that when the time is right and they demonize iran enough, we can move in and sit on their oil to ...

I think we should all close our eyes and remember how we felt on September 11th. That alone makes me want to pick up a gun and buy myself a plane ticket for Baghdad. I swear if I didn't have young kids, I would be there.
