I would reccomend going to Newegg.com. I got a lightscribe burner for about 26 bucks and it works like a charm. I also have software, so when i buy an imported movie i can remove the region code, and then it is no problem to watch over and over. I went through a drive by changing the region too many times. By the way flashing the drive likely WONT work....it stores the region data in a different EEPROM as far as i know, but you could try just to be sure before you spend any $$$. Newegg is very reliable, AND you can pay through paypal.

once your drive gets to 0 changes remaining that is it your drive is locked to that region. it is time to buy a new drive.
or better still next time try to find a drive that is region free.

“I'd like to be the sort of friend that you have been to me, I'd like to be the help that you've been always glad to be; I'd like to mean as much to you each minute of the day, as you have meant old friend of mine, to me along the way.” “However mean your life is, meet it and live it: do not shun it and call it hard names. Cultivate poverty like a garden herb, like sage. Do not trouble yourself much to get new things, whether clothes or friends. Things do not change, we change. Sell your clothes and keep your thoughts.” I'm not exactly sure what you mean but there are some quotes.

You can't change it back. Look at www.pcclub.com or www.tigerdirect.com for some buying options.
