x-rays are done by radiation... it's not a high level to the point where it can harm us... however, they say that the radiation can effect the unborn fetus... i would stay away from x-rays throughout the pregnancy. if you need to see a dentist i would schedule it during your early first trimester... other than that x-rays are a big no no....

Apparently it can do a lot of harm to a baby - particularly when the woman is only in the first stages of pregnancy. It is quite scary - cause I always think to myself 'gee, i might be pregnant and not know it'. It is the radiation that causes the problems - and can cause sever birth defects
