To stop growing, from say 16-18 and then grow two more inches when you're 19 or 20? Also, how much does it cost to have your bones x-rayed to see if the plates are closed.

haha, I like the way you try to put me down for being short...I do it all the time to short people...cause I'm 6'2''. I just would like to be 6'5'' or so.

Not sure about the x-ray thing, but males have there last growth spurt around 18-20....so that's the last ur gonna grow!

There was a young boy I went to high school with, and I thought he'd always be short, he was like 5'2, after I graduated, I saw him 3 or 4 years later and he was 6' 6. He said he started growing again after he went to college.

Not uncommon at all - No idea on "the how much" question. And many doctors wouldn't xray you just for your curiosity. That thing called radiation that the xray emits is considered dangerous y'know? They only use it as a diagnostic tool when needed.
