Even though Quinn is probably the best option, I bet Oakland doesn't take him. Instead they will either trade out of that pick and move down and get more picks throughout the draft or, they will get rid of Moss and or Porter and draft Calvin Johnson.....and probably sign Drew Bledsoe when Dallas releases him. Clearly not the best move, but these are the Raiders (ie Art Shell, Aaron Brooks)

I once read that John Madden and Al Davis never really got along because they both believed in a different philosophy. John Madden believed that you needed a strong offensive line to win, while Al Davis believed that you need great cover corners. I'm sure Mr. Davis had a lot to do with your pick last season (that safety. was it Huff?). He might go that way again, but I think that'll only happen if they trade down, since there really aren't any corners or safeties good enough to warrant the #1 overall pick. I think if they use the pick, they will take Brady Quinn. I also think Quinn is going to be mediocre at best. Sorry, Raiders, you're going to get hosed again....

The Raiders will commerce their 1st %. for the two Pittsburgh's or green Bay's 1st and 2nd around selections. they'll probably draft a RB (with good blockading) interior the 1st around and then take a TE or OL interior the 2nd around. they must solidify the offense and drafting Quinn or yet another warm shot college QB ought to no longer get er performed. they are at an advantage getting the main bang for their greenback interior the draft and then procuring the QB through procuring for and merchandising Randy Moss and Jerry Porter. And to make room for the earnings cap, they'll launch la Mont Jordan, Warren Sapp, and Aaron Brooks. Al Davis could additionally hearth paintings Shell if Gruden and Mora are available in.

If its not Quinn, they don't win. The biggest hole in their lineup is right behind center. Their defense is solid, their receiving corps is the deepest in the league, and Jordan is a good back when they use him like the Eagles use Westbrook or like they did last year, with lots of screens/backfield passes/play action dumpoffs. The Walter experiment is a failure.
If they have any hope of keeping either Porter or Moss, they need to bring in a QB who will keep them excited to play, someone who can get the ball to their skill players and let them make plays, instead of the guys in the other jerseys.
The only other option would be to trade down for some good offensive linemen and a buttload more draft picks.

Oakland has a history of thowing away great picks. Last year, they badly needed a quarterback. they took michael huff from texas, a safety. I think they should work with andrew walters, and draft offensive lineman, definately a new left tackle. But knowing Al Davis, he'll take someone he doesn't really need, or trade the pick altogether.
Don't be suprised if he takes Dwayne Jarrett or Kenny Irons(if he declares).

Brady Quinn, or the franchise might take Calvin Johnson, cause Quinn will have a terrible line, and no recievers if he is drafted. And they still seem to have interest in Walter, once they can get him and immediate impact player like calvin johnson
