So you don't like running? Try walking! That's the best exercise. Walk to school, shops etc. 20 Min's each day will do, you will see that you will tone up too!
Eat a balanced diet, DON'T FOLLOW FAD DIETS, not at 13. Eat a bit of everything but in moderate amounts. You'll need to eat bread, pasta (complex carbohydrates) to keep your energy levels up.
Eat more fresh fruit and veg. You'll be o.kay!
Cut out the sweets and sugary drinks though!
Why can't you go walking, that's absurd that your parents are THAT STRICT that they won't let you.
Enrol at the local gym.
Swimming is excellent, you'll lose weight and tone up too.
Get involved in school sports.
Get on your bike......BE ACTIVE. You're only 13 not 70+

The best thing for you do do is not worry so much! Drink LOTS of water. Do the best you can to eat a balanced diet, lots of fruits & veggies, not too much meat or carbs. Try to stay away from fried food and high cal snacks (candy & chips). And this is probably what would do it for you, set aside 15 to 30 minutes a day for exercise. Even just fast walking will make a difference. But find something you like to do so you can stick with it. Pilates are good, or even just setting aside the time to dance in your room for half an hour! Just have fun, you are too young to be so concerned about your weight, 20 lbs is not that much. Odds are you are still growing. But the exercise will help you stay fit & tone up.

I've tried many diets and couldn't make anything work. Since having my first child, I've been carrying around an extra 30 pounds. This diet just made sense and showed me that everything I was doing before was wrong and a waste of my time.

Exercies and diet are the best ways. Just cut the portions that you eat by 1/3. You have to exercise as well. If you don't like running, you may want to consider bike exercise or stare steppers. You need to do something to burn off those calories.

Eating a healthy diet, including small nutritious meals throughout the day, and moderate exercises everyday. Swimming, walking, cycling and low impact exercises are a good idea if you don't like running and similar things. Good luck and remember your health is always more important than simply your weight.

watch what you eat. quit eating fast food, soft drinks, and candy. try to fill up on vegetables. if you want something to drink that has flavor then drink tea, but don't put sugar in it. for the most part if you are 13 then it should be easy to lose some weight if you start watching what you eat

well sorry running may not be your type of thing, But I do think it's the best way to lose some weight. I'm not either, But I do run to keep myself in shape. so even if you didnt enjoy it. It least TRY it.

Add details to your question please? What kind of banquet is it? Don't matter tho. Why are you so concerned about your weight? Did your family make you feel that way or did what you view in the media? The super models and the Paris Hiltons of today that Hollywood portray as perfect with makeup and technology to make those viewing them to look perfect. None of them are perfect. The only standards that you should be concerned about dear is your own. You may not be perfect. Heres a clue. NOONE IS. Just be yourself and strive to be as perfect as you know you can be. Stick your tongue out to those who make you feel less then that. LOVE, WHO YOU ARE. THE ONLY ONE WHO CAN STOP YOU? IS??????? YOU !!!!!!!!!! LOVE YOURSELF THE REST CAN ONLY HOPE TO FOLLOW.

At 13 wanting or caring to lose weight is just wrong. My suggestion for you would be to participate in a fun sport of your choice eg. baseball or dancing and eat healthy food trust me veggies are delicious and there are so many ways to have them fruits and veggies; there are a lot of sweets out there that are healthy and yummy that aren't chocolate and icecream (there is nothing wrong with chocolate and icecream at your age either or any age for that fact if you eat it in moderation)....try it out maybe you friends will try and and think you are cool & sh.it and copy you :P

I'm 13 too,anyway what I'm doing to lose weight is eating vegetables and fruits.Plus I don't eat after 6:30pm.
