to get rid of the 5, divide both sides by it.
a5/5 = 2c/5
a= 2c/5
to get rid of the c, divide both sides by c
a/c =2c/5c
leaves you with...
a/c = 2/5

It's simple.
Take the 5 from the left to the denominator of the right, so you get:
a = 2c/5
Next take the c from the right to the denominator of the, left so you get:
a/c = 2/5
