Have you been to both? I've only been to disneyworld in Fla. w/my kids, but am considering taking my them to dineyland in Ca. this summer. It looks like they have a lot of the same things. Would it be worth it?

It will still be a lot of fun. The first link shows attractions at both parks that they have in common as well as attractions unique to each park. The second link is a good reason why you should go to Disneyland.

My friends tell me Disney World is better, the rides are better but what it really comes down to is if you're a Disney fan. There are Disney parks all over the world but Disney Land has so much more than all the rest that could never be re-created anywhere. Like the bedroom Walt Disney had above the fire house on main street. I am a huge Disney fan and for me, Disney Land is where all the magic began. The history in that park is what makes it truly unique and worth the trip. It's where Walt Disney's vision came to life and for a huge fan like me, (I would come all the way from Canada to visit Disney Land almost every year when I was a younger), thats what it's all about. To be honest, every time I walk around the Mickey Mouse flower beds, through the arch under the train station above and on to the cobblestones of main street, I can't help but feel a tug of all these different emotions and childhood memories flooding back. It truly is a place where magic lives.

The two aren't really comparable in scale. Disneyland is two relatively small parks in Anaheim, and Disneyworld is four extremely large ones in Orlando. As far as ride differences, it's hard to point out specifics; just two different iterations of similar, but not identical rides. Same for all the other rides with an incarnation at each location.

They are about the same except that they are in two different states. I have only been to disneyworld and from what I can remember of it (I was two the last time I went) it was really fun. They do have a lot of different rides and attractions from each other but i think that both places are great to go to. I'd say take your kids to disneyland in CA. They'll have a great time and so will you. Have Fun.

Disneyland is the "original" place, and is located in Anaheim, California. It is accompanied by a separate park, California Adventure. Disneyworld is in Orlando, and actually consists of three separate parks: the Epcot Center, the Magic Kingdom, and Disney-MGM studios. Magic Kingdom is almost exactly like the original Disneyland, MGM studios has a movie theme, and the Epcot Center has more of an international/futuristic theme with few rides. California Adventure is the only thing that is really unique to the Southern California resort, and it has more of an emphasis on shops and restaurants than rides and attractions.

Disney World probably has more to offer, seeing as its larger. There are actually 4 parks Magic Kingdom (Thats got Cinderella's castle) Epcot, MGM studios, and Animal Kindom. Animal Kingdom is excellent! But make sure you go on a cool day. All the parks are remarkable. There are also 2 waterparks, a whole downtown scene, a HUGE arcade, and many awesomely themed hotels there. There is also a place to camp, if you're interested in that.

Yes, they are 2 different parks, and there are a few attractions at DL that aren't at DW (and vice versa). Disney has really added alot to DL with the addition of California Adventure, but it's still much smaller than WDW in Florida--and always will be. We've done both WDW and DL, and would go to both again.

There are a lot of similarites in the two main parks but if for no otherreason, go to visit California, there's a lot more to do in Southern Caliornia than just Disneyland. Knott's Berry Farm was one of my favorites growing up.

DisneyWorld is in Florida and DisneyLand is in California. Disney World is also bigger with a few more rides, like the rollercoaster in the shape of mickey mouse.

Disney World consists of four theme parks, while Disneyland consists of only one and resembles Disney World's Magic Kingdom. You could experience many of Disneyland's attractions at Disney World.
