All locations are not the same. There are different places to play tag, and each location has different courses and rooms and obstacles. The game is simple: usually you are wearing a vest of some kind and you have a laser gun. The laser gun is like a water gun in the fact that it is plastic and simple to use, but instead of shooting water it shoots a red beam (which is often not visible). You make points by shooting other people and hitting their vests (the vests, if hit by the laser beam, will register that as a shot). You also make points by avoiding being shot yourself. And although I haven't played laser tag in several years, I enjoyed it when I did. Unfortunately, I don't know anything about the New Orlean location.

I don't know about New orleans, but I tried it recently. It's amazingly fun if you go with a few friends ( I'd say 4-6 at least).
You'll wear a little receiver vest and receive a gun and you are let loose in a labyrinth with about 14-20 people for a certain amount of time..that's why going with a group is more fun. There are different teams picked at random and go by color. You basically try to shoot down as many people not on your team as possible and not get hit. When you are shot, your gun won't work for a few seconds so you have get away quickly. it's totally addictive. I'm in my twenties. Most of the people there were about 12 years old and are completelly vicious, very good players - which is really funny. The scores are tallied automatically and you can see how bad or good you are compared to your friends and teammates.

Yeah, I've played, and it's all kinds of fun. I've never been to New Orleans before though. The game usually consists of two evenly divided teams that simply look for the opposing team and try to shoot them in predetermined spots on the vests they give you (there's usually one target on the front, one on the back, and one on the gun itself). Once you get hit you will either have to wait a set amount of time (generally 10-20 seconds) or you will have to find a respawn station, put your gun down on it and it will put you back in the game. The team with the most hits at the end of the game wins (games usually last anywhere from 10-20 mins). Some places are better than others, and some have different game modes (like capture the flag, etc). You should totally try it, and don't worry about not knowing what to do, they always tell people what to do right before the game.

No, sadly. I wanted to play that when I was younger though. Now, for some reason I'm not interested in that.

all locations arent the same, but it is amazingly fun... especially if you have friends to go with and get into the shooting/competitive mood

yessssssssssss!!!! it is soooooo fun!!!!! i didn't go in the one in orleans, an i don't really get wat u mean abt the locations. but it was a school trip!!! an it was awesome!!!!
