Fearing death / fearing the unknown is familiar to almost everyone. You probably get pre-occupied with some things every so often, and this is your latest 'item' that's sitting on your brain. This is a mental game, and so here's some things you can think of. Talk to others about pain. - real pain. Since they're really not better than you, surely you can endure what they had to endure. Determine that heaven or non-existance is not to be worried about. You do have something to worry about if when you see that there's a hell. (I'm rather skeptical and critical, -but now I'm a christian, -I'd worry about hell) Get a level of maturity, - you'll get pre-occupied with another subject in a couple of hours / days.

Have you ever been put under completely for surgery ? You are "out" and you wake up 3 hours later with no sense of the time or space that just went by. No dreams .. just nothingness. I figure that is what death is like .. not so bad. If I am wrong .. then you might have Heaven, or reincarnation to look forward to. If you have a continuing thoughts about death, or anything else that goes in circles in your head .. then it might be a good idea to see a Doc. Sometimes the mind gets stuck on something, and certain aniti-depressants can relieve this problem. Good Luck ! :)

I think everyone goes through this emotion some time in their lives, perhaps a close berevement sparks off the thought that we all have to depart this life sooner or later, Try and think positive, be thankful for your good health which many people don'thave,
have goals in your life that will take up time and energy that you won't even think of death. I too had a morbid fear of death, but I was at my husbands' bedside when he passed away.........so peacefully, that I no longer think that way, also as one gets older one accepts death, being more positive has done wonders for me. hope you get some peace of mind good luck.

Dear LLB,
86% of Americans believe in God. 14% are unsure or do not believe. I am one of the 86%. No I do not have all the answers and don't march around like I do. I have had a front row seat in the death department. What I have learned is that without some belief and some faith in God (the god of your understanding) you will fear death. I choose to believe that my God has set a place at His table for me when I die. I will be welcomed to live out eternity there with my Lord and my loved ones that have gone before me.
O God of all comfort, bring quietness and calm to LLB and the hearts of the worried. Help LLB to overcome the fear of death and that belief in you will bring everlasting life! Thank you Jesus, amen.
"Come unto me, all ye that labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest." Matthew 11:28

I used to be scared of death as well. Sometimes I used to cry myself to sleep because once I started thinking about it, I just got scared. As I got older, I have become more interested in the paranormal and such like that. I am now curious about death. And wandering what it is like. Is there really something after life? It would not bother me one bit if my life ended tomarrow. I look at it as it is gonna happen no matter what, Its like fearing that your gonna get hungry. So why live life fearing it.
