yes you started your period. the brown is old blood, that's why it turned brown. perfectly normal to see this every time you start your period. your pee comes out of a seperate hole than the blood. if you use a tampon down the road for whatever reason, you can pee while the tampon is still in. when i was younger i was too embarassed to tell anyone i used tampons. i would sneak them out of other peoples medecine cabinets at friends houses. i would take them out every time i had to pee. then i read in some magazine that you can wear them when you pee because there are seperate holes down there! it would have been nice to know something like that up front! so when you wipe, you will find blood. but when you pee, unless the timing is right and you release blood the same time as you repease urine, your pee can be clear as water or yellow as the sun. try to always use pads, don't get in a situation where you put a wad of toilet paper in those panties. the toilet paper can give you an infection, supposedly. good luck, hun! i wish you the best of luck. it was a good idea to ask this question. you are braver than i would have been when i was your age. when in doubt, ask the yahoo answers community. isn't yahoo answers great???

First off, if you are on your period, your urine will be the same color, because the blood is not coming from the same hole. If you are wiping away red/pink and your underwear has brown stains on it, most likely you have started your period. I would recommend talking to your mother or another trusted adult and getting a pad to ensure you don't ruin all your panties.

Your pee should not be pink. The blood comes from your vagina , not your urethra (where your pee comes from) The beginning and end of each period will be brownish. So if you are 10 to 15 or so you have definitely started your period. Congrats! grab a pad or tampon and go talk to your mom or sister or some one you trust.

Ambr-
It sounds like a period to me. The brown is the color from the start of your period. Usually it shows up in the first day or so of a cycle. You might experience what's called spotting if this is your first period. Most periods last anywhere from 3-7 days. Usually somewhere in between, and if this is your first, you might be shorter. I'm going to assume that you aren't an adult, and that this is indeed your first period. You should talk to an adult who can get you something to protect your clothing. There are a lot of different options for period protection. You choose what is comfortable for you. This most definitely sounds like a period to me. Welcome to womanhood! :)

the first one usually starts out really really light like that, so i would definatly say that its your period. or an infection. but if you havnt started yet, i doubt its an infection. just put a pantiliner in and see what happens throughout the day. keep tampons or pads with you, for when it starts to flow more. congrats kid!

It is hard to say on here if you have or not, it would be worth bringing it up to your mom though, or an adult. If you have, trust me, you will want the support from them :)
