Eric B, I am a Republican because of issues.
I think that all this discrimination stuff has gone a little far. I'm Cajun. The Cajuns were kicked out of Nova Scotia because they wouldn't pledge Alliegience to the British king. I don't hold it against the British now. #1, it wasn't me. I didn't travel for months across a country looking for freedom, my anscestors did. It made us a stronger people, not a bunch of whiney babies.
I think it's wrong to be gay. I'm not homophobic, it doesn't scare me or gross me out. It pisses me off. I also have the right to be pissed off about it. I like having that right.
I grew up speaking English. I understand that if I want to go China, I had better learn Chinese. That holds true in other countries and should hold true in America.
I support the war, I support our troops, and dammit, I support our President. He's had a lot happen on his watch and I feel better knowing that he cares more about our country than his ratings!

When you realize it has nothing to do with political affiliation, and everything to do with moral affiliation, that's the first step.
Edit:
(Funny how I got two negative reviews for what was intended to be a fair & moderate comment. What exactly bothered some of you about that? Maybe realizingthat your politicalparty isn't exactly as pure and honest as you'd like?)
How does someone else being gay affect your life, in any way whatsoever?
Do you advocate a requirement to learn English for citizenship, residency, or both?
Do you believe President Bush cares more for this country's needs than his own personal needs?
Edit #2: Gee, it looks like some people are uncomfortable when the direct & pointed questions are asked...

Shucks! I wish. If you were the ONLY Republican left, that would mean George Bush, Karl Rove, Dick Cheney, Trent Lott, Jack Abramoff, Mark Foley, Rush Limbaugh, Michael Savage, Katherine Harris, Clarence Thomas, Phyllis Schafly, Grover Norquist, Tom DeLay, Ann Coulter, Bill O'Reilly, Ralph Reed, Dennis Hastert, "Scooter" Libby, Newt Gingrich, and Charlton Heston were gone!
You almost made the world seem like a nicer, saner, and more livable place by that suggestion!
It's NOT NICE TO TEASE US LIKE THAT! :p
(Happy 2007)

Nope, I am right here! Don't lose the faith, Hun, we're stronger than anyone knows. It is the liberal media getting you down, and this forum, who mainly is liberal, just like Yahoo. Stay strong, and know the rest of we Republicans are there, too, we just don't stink up media forums with crap the way liberals do, so we are less seen, but not invisible!

If you're a slave to PNAC/AIPAC, you're definitely not alone. If you're one of the True Conservatives who hate the borrow-and-spend "conservative" policies of the current administration, you're in the minority of the Republican party now. It's been hijacked by fundamentalist evangelicals who will stop at nothing to bring about the Rapture and institute a theocracy right here in America that would put the Taliban to shame.

Tell ya what, if all the really bad republicans that ran your party into the ground the last few years would just leave, we would all be a lot better off.
