Soooooooo normal, actually your body is just screaming out for what it needs!!! It takes a lot of calories and energy and good stuff to get the period thing done, don't worry it is very normal.
My deal is anything chocalette...man, can not get enough...
Unless you are gaining so much weight that it is unhealthy, don't stress it, having a period is bad enough, yuk, just indulge yourself and enjoy the fact that your body is workig a perfect way...good luck...

It is due to the hormonal change that your body goes through. You will want to get it undercontrol because later in life, it will make you gain weight. Also, try substituting healthy food, like carrots and celery and apples. And for some it's normal, for others it's not

heheheh yep that sounds normal for me too .. its our hormones out of balance we require more of certain minerals and vitamins during that time. if we are not knowledgeable about which as per our regular diet IF we were eating right in the first place.... we would know what to eat more of and less of . (hence avoiding eating like a horse as i been told) ahahah a bite of dark chocolate helps take that edge off as medical "experts" proved that a chemical in dark chocolate works in our brain to gap the bridge of hormone activity being out of whack . i'm not doctor but that chocolate helps me from eating everything that moves .

Your metabolic rate goes up just before your period and drops back to "normal" after it's ended. I guess it has to do with hormonal fluctuations.

I do not know why but Yes it is normal. You do not gain much from it because your body is to busy with other things to work on storing fat.
