Well maybe she was never a good friend even when you were little you just known her for the longest and probably didn't want to let the friendship go how it sounds to me you should not call her back I mean when has it ever took someone 2 years to get settled in enough to make a phone call I tell you I wish I had a friend like you real friends are hard to come by.

There is nothing that has no solution. You are hurting and feeling empty, do not wait another day!! Do not let your friendship die! You have said staff, so has she, you can take the first step and make things right. I lost a friend, you dont have to. While you can patch it up, swallow your pride, it will not choke you i promise. Better to try than never at all. I will be happy to know you took a step. It'll work. All the best!

Sounds like you have grown far apart. I think it would be good to be the kind of friend that just sends out updates once in a while. I have those, we dont really have any interest in hanging out with each other anymore because our lives are so different, but we are still interested in what each other is up to.

I do not hang with any of the friends I had in elementary and middle school, and only two I had in high school. You tend to see the number of friends you have time for go down significantly as you get less and less time availiable...
In your case, sounds like she is one of those you shouldnt have time for anymore...

I am not friends with anyone that I was friends with when I was growing up as a kid. Every once in a while I may see someone I was friends with but I don't have anything in common with most of them now.

I have three really good friends and none of them are from my childhood...just don't have anything in common with them. I tried to revive a friendship with one and it just didn't work out.
In your case not only should you not call her back but if you really don't want to hear from her again...block her number.

Drop her faster than a hot potato. She isn't now and never was a friend. You are being used and used big time.
How do I know? Been there, done that.
Drop her and don't look back.

You don't owe her anything, and if your friendship hasn't been reciprocated, drop her. It sounds like she's made it easy to lose touch, so just follow her lead.
