ladies always wear lip balm or lip gloss when they go to restaurant, but I don't know how to deal with this embarrassed moment-- your lip gloss impresses on the edge of the cup. i wonder how to avoid this problem and how to wear make up, and how to eat appropriately during the dinner. thanks for your help!

well, you certainly don't want to apply make-up at the dinner table! i can tell you that!
otherwise, there isn't much of a way to avoid leaving some lip gloss on your cup. if that is embarrassing.... dude... why do you even leave your house? if you wear lip gloss or lipstick this is going to happen. some promise not to leave imprints, but i have yet to find one that works this way. (you are going to look more tacky by wiping off your lipstick rather than just leaving it on the cup)
eating "appropriately" would mean putting small quantities of food on your fork/spoon and chewing with your mouth closed. you would then want to use a napkin to wipe away any excess if you feel it on your mouth-- rather than using your hands or your tongue. that is the basics i am sure your parents taught you. if you do that then you can't screw up that bad...

I would furtively try wipe it off with your napkin/serviette when nobody is looking or would wear some long lasting lipstick like Cover Girl or Endless Kiss Proof by L'Oreal Paris or buy some Lip Last from Sephora to put over your current lipstick so it doesn't smudge off...
And I totally agree with Christy who said don't apply lipstick at the table...she's absolutely right!
