join the freecycle in your area! Then post a "wanted" message and wait for a reply..... In the meantime, you or he can monitor the list to see if one ever shows up. Don't rely on some seeing your "wanted' message....cause some people won't see it.

Also, is there a flea market in your area? These are great places to find stuff like that. Start with them and check out the local thrift shops, too. Let the shop owners inow you're looking for a cheap used model.

Good luck ....

There is this website called, "freecycle.com". You can join for free in your local area, and if there is an item(s) that you are in need of, you post it and all the other members in your area see this posting and if anyone has the item available to give away free, they post a response to your request and so on. You will get a set of instructions on how the whole thing works and the proper ettiquette and so on when you join. It also works for when you have items you would like to give away. The main thing to remember is that it can only be used for free items - giving or needing. Check it out! It is amazing the things that are being given away everyday right in your own area. You will be able to check the availability for your area for this membership. I guess that some more remote areas may not have it yet. If thats the case, you are able to start one!!! Good luck!!!

oops, sorry for the repeat info, I didn't read the other responses until after I posted this!! ; )
