Goa to Surat is around 1000 Kms distance. Better travel by train like Thiruvanadhapuram - Nizamudin Rajdhani Exp which takes around 15 to 16 hrs via Panvel - Vasai. Bus Raj National Exp or Paulo is available whose service is good but only prob is sitting for such a long time is horrible.
Other option is take flight / Train (Madgaon Jan Shtabdi) / Buses to Mumbai and from there every hour you will find a train to Surat which 3 hrs journey

( Dept. from Surat @ 4 pm every Friday )
Reaches Mudgaon ( Goa's capital ) @ 10 am on Saturday.
Get seats reserved in Sleeper Class or others . Reservations are available.

no, there is no bus service but we can go by car ,it would take a lot of time. or we have to take a private Venn &train is better than these , if u can afford a plane is the best!
