I love all of them but Cinderella, Snow white, and King Arthur and the knights of the round table were my favorite fairy tales when I was little. I love fairy tales and folk stories because of the magic and the morals.

Awesome question! I loved the tales of the little people that my grandfather would spin. Many of them (I found out as an adult) have their roots in Ireland and Scotland. Very cool, as the other side of my family is Aboriginal, and they have traditions and stories about the little people as well. Kinda makes a person wonder...

The three dead men.
When I was 7-8yrs. old I would get on the bus at my baby sitters house who lived with her old father that was one of the best story tellers that ever lived.(he ran a bait store and chewed tobacco) They lived across from a creek and he was concerned that I would go down there and drowned. So he made up a story of "three dead men" that drowned and would float down the creek on a log and I should stay away from the creek cause they would chase me.
Every now and than he would spice up the story
to keep me alert.
Me and several of my Friends truly believed him.
It worked we didn't drowned.
Oh the fish stories he told.
