Sulfur is a widely used chemical, including:

Gasoline refining

Making battery acid

Making sulfur dioxide for preserving food.

Making sulfur-containing chemicals like copper sulfate

Making fertilizer

It is often shipped in the molten state. Makes it easy to handle at the user's end, and eliminates the problem of sulfur dust when handling

In first place..why carrying out molten sulphur? Why not carrying out solid sulphur?
Sulphur is a not-metal, generally it appears like yellow-bright substance. This is its most common allotropic form (alpha sulphur which have rombic by Bravais, different by other forms, e.g. beta sulphur, monoclinic by Bravais).
Sulphur is characterized by relatively high fusion's heat, hence industrial plant of sulphur's production studied special cars for molten form's transport.
Who preceed me wrote of general sectors where sulphur' use is involved. Molten sulphur is specific reactive for "Hexa-fluoride Sulphur", who is powerful dielectric substance.

I hope this helps you.
