Yep. I don't even know why it takes thirty years. It's all pointless waiting around...

Just ask the half dozen or so guys in Illinois who got off of death row after their appeals because they were not guilty, or the cops caught the guy who really did the crime, or because of dna technology improving - I bet they don't think it's sad that it takes us a while to execute folks. Or do you prefer to have just any old person executed, case closed, and oh well so what if the real perpetrator stays free.

Nope, it isn't sad. We haven't had the same unopposed evidence against a serial killer, or any murderer like the Iraqi people, and the world had against Saddam Hussein, so we need more time before taking away a man's life. The whole world had seriously hard evidence against this evil monster, and now finally, he is dead. We all knew he was irredeemable, so he got what he deserved asap!

Appeals, appeals. However seeing as science has come such a long way with DNA etc. Maybe it's about time to cut back on appeals. Two appeal Maxim if you still convicted after a three time then it's off to the death chambers with the guilt. Maybe it will have deter criminals!

Timothy MC Veigh was an example of how we do the Oklahoma city bomber. In this case we have shown that it can be done in short order. There are some that are trying to prove a case and we let them try to prove innocence, I think that is humane.

Good point. The Iraqi justice system works much better than the American one.
