hi i'm not very good a keeping shoes clean in the first place so i was wondering if anyone knows a good way to clean shoes that have rough leather, like some tennis shoes have

I guess this really depends on the type and color of your shoe. For some white leather sneakers the best stuff to keep it white and brand new is using white tire cleaner. The bleach in this makes it white and bright and it not only cleans the leather, it also whitens the rubber parts too.
If your leather on your sneaks isn't white or is suede, you'll probably wanna pick up a leather or suede cleaner from the shoe department of a store.

Well, i very much look at a persons shoes, weather they are man woman, boy or girl even a little baby's shoes. Only because i LOVE shoes very much but it doesn't bother me so much what a mans shoes are compared with what pair of shoes a woman has got on her feet.

go to your shoes store and look at some leather protectant spray, also invest in some polish or cleaner that matches your shoes...
