Roaches can be found, in the cleanest of homes, depending on where you live.
If you don't have a Children, or a Pet, buy a box of powered sugar and a box of borax, mix together and leave in open container.
The roaches will eat the mixture, and go back to their nest, thus causing them and many others to die!!
If you have a Children, or a Pet, that can't get under the refrigerator, or somewhere safe like that, fill a tin pan, with your sweet poison. Soon you should be roach free!

There a product called Bengal Roach Spray that is guaranteed and it works great. You spray on all your baseboard and in crevices in your kitchen or where you see roaches the most. You will only have to use every 6 months or so it really works great. You will only see dead or very sick roaches after you use. It not a home remedy but I have found it to be the best. I live in the south where you get roaches if you have any large oak trees around your house. This is the best product I have ever found and you can be a very clean person and still have them. It is harder to get rid of if you live in an apartment that is next to other apartments because they may not know how to deal with roaches, like you. Whatever you find that works share with neighbors and it could help you.

Just to say ;you are fighting a losing battle!!! I also live in the south and the little creeps are every where! I fought them so hard they were deformed, the wings( i didn't know they had wings either) were all curled up, missing legs and check this out! the were like fused together like Siamese twins! GROSS!!!!!!!!!!
My apt. Mgr didn't do anything, And those sprays were like feed. I finally threw everything away and moved into a house. Much better. But in the process of moving I put everything i didn't throw away in storage 3 weeks later they were still crawling out of boxes. now you tell me how they survived? Any ways they get in everything carpet, couches, t.vs, etc. I'm sorry I could not help.Just wanted to let you know there are other people that have been attacked by the apartment invaders! Good luck!
>p.s. if your problem isn't to bad try spraying Tabasco sauce on the base boards and back of counters at night. They don't like the smell. I did these when we had company coming. Be careful it stains the caulking on the counter.

Lets pretend the "vagrants" you want to kill are the roaches and not the neighbors.
You should first go through the landlord or rental manager and put pressure on them, infestation are hurting their property too. If you can't get any response from them, Boric acid powder is good if you have no pets or children, dusting behind appliances, in crevices of woodwork cabinetry and all the dark recesses in apartment. Seal off their entry ways with common household caulk; common entry points are around plumbing connections in walls, cracks in baseboard. Keep in mind roaches don't normal come in thru doors and windows, but through walls, so make it hard to come in. Good luck.

Roaches can eat the glue off of paper rolls. You can mix sugar with baking soda and sprinkle it around. You can purchase boric acid and sprinkle it around. You can put food garbage in a round bucket with Vaseline on its sides and trap them for disposal. Tell the landlord and have him fumigate all the apartments. Notify the health department and they will tell you which agency to go through. I bought a PestContro which is a device that is plugged in and creates an electromagnetic field. This has kept my place virtually roach free.A rare roach appears on occasion. Roach destruction really is a roach control thing. Have a great year.

Roaches aren't from dirt, they're from water leaks. That is why you find them in the kitchen and bathrooms. You'll need a pest exterminator to treat the area. By the way, they don't always come out in the dark. I painted over one once when I was paiting a friend's kitchen in Boston. Makes you want to sleep with the lights on doesn't it?

heres two things for you to try:
1. invest in a couple of gecko's!. if ya dont mind lizards runnin around the house, they're the cleanest ,safest way to get rid of roachs.( on this page that your question is on is a guy that wants to get rid of lizards, maybe you can work something out). under the kitchen sink if you have access to a metal potato chip can they make great roach traps the "little bastards"love greasy stuff, they climb the out side with ease and then slide down the greasy inside and cant get out. if your like me and dont have the patience for homeopathic euthenasia for cockroachs then.....
2. it dont matter how clean your house is on the surface those "little bastards" live, hide and breed in the cracks and crevices of your home. you can spray or have your place e fumigated all thats doin is chasing them next door to your nieghbor until they spray and chase them back to you. it definately calls for chemical warfare on the "little bastards" ,(do not smash them esp. with your shoe!!! they carry thier eggs on their back and you'll spread them). go to your local hardware or home depot and get a couple of gallons of "ORTHO HOME PEST SPRAY" it comes w/ a hose and sprayer, go through and spray EVERY sqaure inch of any kind of crack or crevice in your home BAR NONE especially in the kitchen and bath/laundry area. if you have carpet spray along the edges of it just as well the base molding in kitchen bath/laundry. THE BONUS to this is dont be surprised if you dont see a bug of any kind for at least 6 - 9 mo.s . this stuff is great and kills them practically on contact is not real offensive in chemical smell and puts up a protective barrior that lasts. it dont hurt to pour straight bleach down the drains once in a while(monthly)either,

Use combat. They sell them for small roaches and larger ones for large roaches. I have never found anything that works as well.

go to your local hardware and ask for Ortho Boric Acid, place it in clean dry jar lids and slide them under fridge, sink , stove, in back of closets and cabinets. it will take about two weeks but it gets into their side gills through which they breathe, and it dries their bodies out from the inside out, and they are going to take it back to the nest on their feet and help kill off the whole clan.
