City of Angels I cant even watch after they do it 'cause ..you know...the whold Meg Ryan demise...so I agree with you there..
The Prince of Tides does it for me too...there's a great line towards the end where Tom chooses to go back to his wife, and Lowenstein says through teary eyes "you love her more...admit it."
And he says "No...just longer, that's all"
But my third one is a tie between two movies ...
"somewhere in time" with Christopher Reeve
and
"my girl"...the only movie where I feel sad for Macauley Culkin
Thanks!!!!

Step Mom with Julia Roberts and Susan Serandon....OMG did I ball my bleeping eyes out. I would not be able to leave my kids behind! No way!
One True Thing with Renee Zellwegger (spelling) and Meryl Streep. I was balling at the end when Renee was crushing the pills.
Titanic - Obviously
The Lake House- Sandra Bullock and Keanu Reaves. If you haven't seen this movie, watch it. It will twist your brain until it hurts but it did make me cry, oh yea.

The two saddest movies I can think of both involve mother-daughter relationships:
1. "Stella Dallas" with Barbara Stanwyck, who sacrifices everything so that her daughter will have a better life.
2. "Madame X" with Lana Turner, another mom who sacrifices everything for her son (who turns out to be Keir Dullea from 2001 A Space Odyssey).

I always cry when Kathy (Merle Oberon) dies in the arms of Heathcliff (Lawrence Olivier) in Wuthering Heights, though I've seen it hundreds of times.
