The U.S. has never occupied the Arabian Penisula. The Arabian Penisula is huge and covers Saudia Arabia, Yemen, Oman, Qatar, Kuwait, Bahrain and the Untied Arab Emirates. We do have troops in Kuwait and Saudi Arabia, but those countries have invited the U.S. to be there, at least since the first Gulf War in 1990-91. We might have bases in the UAE and Qatar, but I can't remember.

The US has never occupied the Arabian Peninsula (I stand corrected, Iraq is in fact NOT part of the Arabian Peninsula; thanks David for clarifying this for me). I'd suggest you pick a new topic for your history day project.
