Saddam Hussein killed, tortured, and gassed thousands of people. Do you not think he should be killed?

I don't know what he deserved, but he should not have been executed.

#1. Now he's dead and doesn't have to sit in jail every day thinking about why he's in there. He got an easy way out.

#2. Why do we kill people who kill people to show that killing people is wrong?

P.S. aside from the moral aspect, didn't it seem a bit odd what a mad rush they were in to kill him? That race to the gallows, followed by the jeers of the executioners lead me to believe that they aren't much better people than he was. The new government in Iraq is killing people too... just different people.

Absolutely!!! Here is a man who ruled his country like a mob boss.He sent his sons out on rape patrols,he killed whoever spoke their mind or disagreed with his viewpoint,he made chemical weapons and tried them out on the kurds, using them as guinea pigs.He tortured, maimed gassed, murdered, and imprisoned hundreds of thousands of his own people. He then invaded his smaller weaker neighbor to steal their oil wealth in order to further his WMD aspirations. He planned to conquer the whole arab world under his rule and in that world,he would be considered a god.Any thing else I can say to persuade you???The man was a piece of garbage and deserved to be treated as such!!!!!

The people he killed did not deserve that, and he didn't deserve to be killed, just because murder is a sin. It's a tough thing for people like me to think about because God says thou shalt not kill, and you wonder, well does that person who did kill deserve the same fate, but God is merciful, and if Saddam didn't repent his sins, and I doubt it, then God didn't see him favor. And my personal opinion, he could have been punished another way besides death.

I honestly dont like to see people die. However, when you live and thrive by killing others, you only know your life is going to end abrupty and violently. Saddam Hussien died how he lived...Gods justice.

Part of the problem mankind and womankind is having in the world is the use of the death penalty. There is no good reason for employing this primitive and useless form of punishment.

What do you think? A person who killed his own people deserves not less than that, but his not the only one, Bush should get some of that too.

I think Saddam killed a lot of innocent people and did some unwise things but violence only begets violence. I think the only result of his hanging will be more innocent people dying.

Oh yeah baby, he deserved far worse! I threw a party, but it didn't compare to the Iraqi people's shin-dig! I, as also the majority of the Iraqi's are glad he is dead!
