1.) Go to insert and click Page Numbers...
2.) A pop-up box appears showing the Position, alignment and a format button. Click the Format button
3.) In the Page numbering section, in the two selections that uses radio button, Click the radio button "Start at:" then input number "2" inside the list box. Then click Ok button
4.) Click Ok button.
5.) Repeat steps 1 to 4 to display number in header or footer. If you started the position in the header, do the same thing in the footer. Just replace position to Footer or Header.

Follow these steps:

1. Go to 'Insert' menu and select 'Page Numbers'
(You can position it as you wish. Now the page numbers will begin at 1 on the first page.)

2. Go to 'View' menu and select 'Header and Footer'.
(The 'Header and Footer' floating menu will appear.)

3. Click on the 'Format Page Number' icon. You can find this icon by placing the mouse cursor over the icons.
(A 'Page Number Format' dialog box will appear.)

4. At the bottom of this dialog box, under 'Page numbering', make sure the 'Start at' radio button is selected. Set the page number to 2 (or whatever number you want) in the counter next to this radio button.

5. Click OK

Instead of inserting the number right in the footer, use the command (from the insert drop down menu), and then select the starting page number.

If you want a different behavior for a part of your document, insert a section break. Then you can have one section with one look (example footer) and another that is different. In the footer input make sure you are not using "same a previous section". This is also good for converting from landscape format to portrait in case you have to insert a wide picture.

Make the first page blank and put in the page numbers as you normally would. Then, you can print all of the pages except the blank one.
