All of the answers above are good guess (except Rosie O Donell because that would be too much like when they let Ricki Lake took the helm in Gameshow Marathon, bleh! Dan Rather seems unlikely because he was fired from CBS wasn't he?).
Another possiblity is Game Show Network's Todd Newton, why? Well he has experience with TPIR. Todd Newton is the host of The Price Is Right stage show in Las Vegas Bally Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada. Not to mention he has taken part in other Ferantile Media shows Hollywood Showdown and Whammy! The All New Press Your Luck.

I've heard two ideas circulating on the net:
1) Pat Sajak - host of Wheel of Fortune
2) Dan Rather - Mark Goodson productions ones said he would be a good choice.
As for me...my only possible opinion would be someone like Richard Karn. He was Al on Home Improvement, plus he had a stint as host of the Family Feud.

Most of the suggestions are pretty good. I agree with myst_trainer that Dan Rather is unlikely, not just because he was fired from CBS, but in spite of that, iit would be a big comedown from news anchor to game show host. And please, please, please, don't let it be Rosie O'Donnell. I watch TPIR occasionally because it was my father's favorite show before he passed, and I really don't want to put someone that obnoxious in place where I remember him.
