Maybe it's a BOY! I am an experienced rat owner (I know you're talking about Chinchillas) Male rats have big um... you know... So maybe your Chinchilla just *developed* Male rats don't *develop* until 6-7 weeks of age. Maybe chinchillas *develop* at 6 months and male rats' *development* is HUGE like as big as their heads

I have a cat who had a few little hard bumps on her stomach and then they started popping up everywhere. It's a fast spreading cancer and there's nothing that can be done. She never seemed to be bothered by them or in pain either.

I don't mean to scare you, but you should get him checked immediately.

I had a dog with a big bump on his nose and it didn't seem to bother him either. It turned out to be a brain tumor, he had major seizures and we had to put him down. Get him to the vet and get him checked. Although we did this and my dog was misdiagnosed!!

It could be a tumor, or more than likely it is just some harmless fat nodules. I've had 2 different dogs that had those already... My little dog Jimmy has like 5 of them.

I really think its a job for the vet. Just to be on the safe side.

I would suggest contacting a vet and see what they have to say.
