It's rumored that he is in fact gay in real life. But he had stated during an interview for Seventeen magazine that he doesn't discuss his sexual preference and there is no record of him dating anyone, nor has he ever been married or has any kids. His Will & Grace co-star Eric McCormack is the one that is married with two children.

i also think he is. when oprah interviewed the cast from Will & Grace, she asked all, except Sean, about their significant other. she didn't bother to ask Sean if he was single or in a relationship. i thought "maybe he is gay and doesn't want to talk about it" (sorta like Neil Patrick Harris. he's gay and doesn't like to be "out" about it). weird. anyway, either way, Sean is a great performer!

Surprisingly, he's not gay at all, but the guy who plays Will really turned out to be gay. Go figure.
