How do you become certified to install septic systems?

I live in Illinois and I am trying to find out as an escavator what do I have to do to become certified to install septic systems.

"excavator" you need to contact your local plumbing inspector and they can tell you who to contact for licensing information here in maryland it's the state department of labor and licensing but it varies from state to state, so just call the city plumbing inspectors office in the morning as soon as they open
