Do This: when the machine is starting up, try to boot up in SAFE MODE, to do this, you may have to hit the Delete key or the F10 or F8 key. If the machine lets you boot up in safe mode and you can get to the desktop then do this. Click on Start - Programs - Accessories - System Tools - System Restore. Once you are there, pick a date to restore the computer to. Make sure you pick a date BEFORE your frriend installed the suspect device, or like a week before the Blue Screens started happening.

Its almost impossible to get Windows to tell you what driver is the dud. Its usually either the video adapter driver or the printer driver so reinstall those from the latest available drivers (found online) and you might get lucky.

that's the two a driving force situation or a conflict with different hardware. examine the gadget supervisor to be certain in case you spot any source conflicts (gadgets in blunders), and attempt reinstalling or updating the drivers for the instantaneous hardware.
