Sleeping Beauty is the only Disney cartoon I can think of.
Consider all the others:
Pinocchio (adopted by old man)
Snow White (raised by wicked step-mother)
Dumbo (where was dad?)
Bambi (mother got killed by hunter)
Cinderella (where was dad? Raised by evil step-mother)
The Little Mermaid (raised by dad)
Beauty & The Beast (raised by dad)
The Lion King (Dad was killed)
Finding Nemo (mom was killed)
and on and on and on...
Disney sure has the stronghold on unfortunate kids with departed parents.

Little Mermaid 2, both Ariel & Eric are present for their daughter
Lion King 2, Simba & Nala are present for their daughter
Sleeping Beauty had both but had to be taken away
