all this superstition has been creeping me out lately. My friend told me that, during vacation, a spirit tried to escape through the ouija board by tying to make her break one of the "rules". The spirit also admitted that it was a pervert
do you guys believe in the board? or do you think its bs

HI
I think that we should leave stuff like that alone. I do think something is out there listening and you are giving it reason to barge into your life and cause havoc.

The story sounds like male bovine excrement, indeed. What entity would be so stupid as to announce it's intentions before escaping the board?
According to the lore, the ouija is a tactile portal to a spectral realm. A doorway that allows any entity access to our physical realm. The power of the board is amplified by placing it on the knees of the ones involved in the 'session'. While giving the group access to moer entities, as well as nore powerful ones, the physical contact makes the group more vunerable to attack from the other side of the board. A ontemporary description f the 'mechanism is to imaginc an electrical circuit. At any time the energy of the visitor is in contact with all members of the group. The energy of the group compells the entity to get no further than the board and the planchette, but if someone breaks contact from either the group or the board a 'short' occurs allowing a trace of the entity's being to rest in the person. Later the entity can rejoin with its fragment either for posession, in the case of a non-human entity, or using the body to remain in the living world. In the second example the being could observe and sense it's environment. If the entity is strong enough it can use the power of it's host to influence the person or objects around it. That is if the lore is accurate.

I mean there would be radical changes in behavior. Odd things happening when they were nearby. These things just don't happen.

I have never done it, but a friend of mines used the Ouija board to find out who her boyfriend liked. It spelled the other girl's name E-O-N. The spirit realm is very real and the spirits in this game are demonic. If given an entry point (you) they can cause serious grief. Why do you think Jesus and His disciples spent so much time casting them out? Unclean spirits can make you sick and the best way to get rid of them is to first be saved and then get baptized with the Holy Spirit. An unclean spirit and the Holy Spirit cannot occupy the same space(body) at the same time. Once this happens if pain still exists, visit a dr to see what the cause of it is. I hope this helps!!

I believe in the board, totally, thats why I wont use them. Once a bad spirit comes through, then the board sort of becomes "possesed". When we were screwing around a couple of years ago, my friend showed me how to make them with paper, and every time you use them, you destroy it afterwards, then make new stuff each time. (the paper didn't look like the board, she cut up bits of paper, each piece had a letter or a number, a yes or no, and we used a juice glass as the pointer, it was kinda cool, but it didn't work for me)

I do not think it is bs. Looking back on some tragic things that happened in my family it seems some "harmless" dabbling with one of those things was at the beginning. In my opinion and experience there is God's Holy Spirit and then there is everything else which is not of God and therefore from a darker place, the Father of Lies if you get my drift. Not everything "spiritual" is healthy to dabble in. It may open doors to spiritual involvement which can REALLY be harmful no matter how innocent it may seem in the beginning. Please listen to those who are cautioning you against this. If you are very young and curious you probably won't listen and do it anyway, such is the impetuosity of youth and ignorance, however if you find yourself (or a family member) in too deep in consider these... 1 John 4:4, Ps 91:10, Ep 6:10-17. God Bless.

I definetly believe they work. Ouija boards are easy to stay away from. Why risk allowing something awful into your life when you don't have to? Ouija boards are dangerous and very much anti-Christian. I say that not in a super religious way.. just the truth.

Totally bunk. Besides, in every group there's always one person "moving it". Sometimes when I was little I would play the spirit and it was hilarious cuz people would want to believe it was really a spirit.
Oh yeah, what "rule" did it break?

I don't think it is bs because what i know about them is that they are not a toy you are kind of "attracting" spirts to you when you use a ouija board. the spirts can be bad or good. sometimes you might not get anything at all. but either way be careful if you use it. thats what i know about ouija boards.

No, there not bs, but I think it depends a-lot on how you use it,
I mean if you play around with it you'll probably attract a playful
ghost, who will be silly and joke around, if your serious with it
you'll get a serious ghost that won't joke. Of course you'll probably get some bad spirits but tell them to go away and don't get scared, if you expect to get scared you more than likely will.
I don't think it's absolutely bad, once again it depends on what
you use it for and how you use it. It's o.k to be a little playful with it but they are not a toy.

I think your friend is full of bunk.

HOWEVER, Ouija boards as a rule are bad news. By using them you are extending an open invitation to any passing entities to enter your life.
