I think it was inevitable and he took it like a man. That is really what matters. Reminds me of those old John wayne movies when men were men not bickering cowards that squabble and squirm.

I thought the way it was carried out was completely unprofessional. The taunting was unacceptable. It's not that I care for someone like Saddam, but his execution should have served as an example of justice in the world. Instead, it makes a mockery of human rights.

Also, Saddam never went through all of the trials. Specifically, the trials for gassing the Kurds hadn't started yet. With the huge deathtoll and possibility of its classification as genocide, I think he should have at least been kept alive to be present and sentenced. His death as a genocidaire would have been a more positive note. It would have been a statement about the importance of preserving human dignity. Instead, the world got a bootlegg video of witnesses taunting a man with a noose already around his neck.

I support the execution of Saddam and would support the execution of Osama bin Laden, as well. These are sick people who have destroyed countless lives, killed thousands (or even tens of thousands) and I am tired of everyone freaking out over the fact that one of them is now dead. Should we just slap their hands and send them on their way??
This was an EVIL man. Why should he be kept alive? He took lives and horrified a nation...many nations by what he has done. Do you read the news...remember the mass graves? Those people didn't jump in there and kill themselves.

I do believe in capitol punishment and I think he got what he truly deserved. Or would you like to see more of his actions?

Oppose it, If he was given a life sentence he would receive his needs from those he claimed were "Devils" "Immoral" Now the world will blame America for the disgusting display of his execution and see us as nothing but vengefully. He was a tyrant and murderer but he was a ruler a president, he had made declarations, so- I question that a ruler be executed. Strip him of his title and give him a life sentence. Or else all rulers at war are criminals and that is not so. If his own people did not strip him of authority and exile him, then we should have kept him in our custody. But this is like putting us on trial for attacking other countries, in war you are not a criminal are you? It is a very thin line here and I believe Iraq should have imprisoned him and then get on with their OWN battle to acquire a democratic government.

The execution was correct. It is the video that I don't agree with. Whats the difference between that and the hostages that were beheaded? I think it's shameful no matter WHO does it!!!!!!

Tell me why is it done so hurriedly? Isn't it for revenge & face saving? Why all other cases hadn't been tried in the court of law (even though under occupation by USA & UK) to trace & prove his/their guilts including USA,UK & other masterminds who inspired him to commit those charges?

Unfortunately, I don't think it solved as many problems as the government says it will. I realize that every time I go to fill up my car with gas and it cost me $50.00.

i think his execution was wrong. saddam went with one simple rule to to others what you want to get back. so when people killed he killed them. when people were nice he was nice. he was killed for killing others so now what the difference between the poeple that killed saddam and saddam? nothing their both killers.
