Soap is nice and all, but seriously, how does it compare to TIVO, soap did not revolutionize this world, made it smell nicer, but that's it. Now TIVO, I could tell you a thousand ways it has changed my life. No longer am I tied to Network timetables. Movie is on, I want to go to bed HA! no problem, click and it will record to the last half hour. Uh oh phone is ringing, no worries, pause the durn TV. My life is simpler, more organized, I have control. soap! bah humbug

I cannot EVEN imagine the smell!!!! I guess its the seemingly little things that can really make a big (and I mean HUGE) difference in our lives!! I say,"Thank the Lord for SOAP!!!"

Seriously, everyone else would stink so badly as well, that you would become accustomed to the stench and no longer even notice it. I think the sewage system is a much more important invention personnally.

well there are other things you can use and most of us use detergents these days instead of oldfashioned soap. soapwort is a plant which creates a soapy sort of washing water that used to be used for very fine washables and even the roots of the Yucca plant can be used to crush up and boil in water to make a fine shampoo, thanks to the south western native americans.

I prefer detergents. Soap is lye based and really harsh. Have a great year.
