A little too much?

I'm african-american and i put on makeup everytime i go out to places like school, church, parties, and just hanging with my friends. I put on foundation, eyeliner, eye shadow, blush, and lip gloss. Always the same colors and same routine. Oh and i never wear mascara. Is this a little too much makeup for outgoings?

yes. if u wear that much then makeup looses it specialness.

its great wen u walk into a party and people are like wow her face looks stunning. i think u should keep it more low key for everyday occasions. but for partys and important events ware u want to look ur best then u can use that much makeup

I feel u on the lip gloss i have to have it when i go somewhere too, but the other stuff maybe try a different color eyeliner to play up your eyes without the shadow and if use mascara use clear it works the same.

Everytime I put on make-up I put on mascara, eyeliner, eyeshadow, foundation, blush, and either lipgloss or lipstick. I think lipliner is a little much plus all of that stuff for everyday events. If your going out to a special place then you can but for everyday palces, I dont think you should. Everything else you mentioned is fine to wear everyday. Hope I could help!

If you do a good job of applying your makeup so that it enhances your appearance and doesn't overwhelm you (or others!), then no, you're fine. The main thing is that people should notice how pretty you are, not how beautifully you've made yourself up.

Why not try mascara, 'tho? There are so many great ones out there. Lengthening, lash-curling, volumizing, on and on. Even colored ones: blue, purple, green, etc.

Try to vary your colors to be different and original.

It might be, if your using natural colors and not putting to much on then its ok.
But honestly its up to you. If you feel that you might be using too much makeup and you had to ask then you probobly are. Try toning it down by not using one thing that is not that nessesary. Maybe pinch your cheeks or take a brisk walk instead of caking on blush. Maybe use some moisturizing chapstick instead of lipgloss. You get the idea.
Remember the more natural the better. Try toning down the makeup and being more beautiful on the inside becuase thats whats truly going to make you beautfil.

If I didn't put all that on when I went out, I would probably scare people. HA!! But I do change it up for evenings. Try doing a lighter version for daytime looks and save the deeper colors for night. I would get myself to a makeup counter at the mall...try something more high-end...and tell them what you are trying to do. They will make you up for free and help you with your options. FYI - DON'T make any purchases right then and there. Tell them you want to try out the look for a day before you decide. If you like the look but don't want to spend all that $$, just go to the drugstore and look for similar cheaper versions of the colors they used. Hope this helps!!

Many females wear the same amount of makeup if not more. It's fine, as long as you apply everything lightly. Maybe you can try wearing black or clear mascara, because it really opens up the eyes. If you have nice-looking skin naturally, skip the foundation, because it will ruin your skin.

I don't think so. I was hung up for a while on all of the different things that i was putting on that I didn't take the time to actually look in the mirror to see if it look like too much. It's just like clothing sizes. Don't worry about smallest the size, look for the size that fits you. If you feel like you're wearing too much, then tone it down a little. But you're using the basics and I think that's fine!

no i dont think u are putting too much makeup. u might want to change eyeshadow colors, i like to wear pink eyeshadow if im wearing pink u know mathc the colors,( thats just how i like it) try wearing mascara that would give u a nice different look!
