when Drumline came out, it occured to me that most people knew very little about black college life. Now that stomp the yard is coming out I ma agin reminded of how little people know about the HBCU experience. I have freind that went to white schools and I can't help but feel like they missed out on something special. How do you feel about your HBCU experience (went to Hampton BTW, then xferred to TSU)

going to a predominately black college does not make a person racist anymore than going to one that is all white. Or sexist because it is all male or all female. For me it just made it more fun.

No, I didn't. I' am going to a university(UNH) where their is a various group and mixture of people. I don't think I miss out by not going to just a "black" college, because an education is an education and it is good to mingle with different racial backgrounds. College is a time to grow and explore, not to become narrow and shortsighted, people should choose their own college/university.

Your friend didn't miss out on anything except an inferior education. I went to a white undergraduate and black law school (TSU). I would never suggest anyone go to a black college.

well, my college(the best) was Kent State nad it had a variety of people! I do remember it was very interesting and diverse and the best time of my life! There was a black fraternity that in order to become a member, the men had to brand (literally)! the fraternity letters in their arm! ouch!! why would they subject themselves to such pain!??

My college was mostly green from the grass and trees but also had a lot of red in the brick buildings.

Also grey sidewalks.

a "black college" is the most racist thing I've ever heard of. Would a "white college" be acceptable to you??

I applied , and was denied in spite of having a 4.0 gpa throughout high school.
I swear... if they tell me it's because I'm white, I'm gonna file a discrimination suit!
