I agree with the others. Unless you are getting some kind of technical degree that is very specialized (like electrical theory, automotive tech, or nursing) you need a 4 year degree to be worth something to an employer (in MOST cases). When it comes to nursing, an associates is ok as far as getting a job, employers like that they can pay you less. You will make more money with the BS instead...but it isn't a huge difference. With the 4 year degrees, you have more opportunities for management positions also.

You don't really have to, but it's best to.

Community college is basically a 2 year college. After the 2 year, most people want to get their bachelor's degree and that's offered at a university. Therefore, after 2 years at a community college, people would transfer to a university to complete their remaining 2 years for the bachelor's degree.

Have you ever asked yourself what a community college degree means? If you go to a community college for two years and have a C average, you get an AA degree.

On the other hand, if you go to Harvard for two years and leave with a 4.0 average -- you are called a college dropout. Who has the better education?

You don't have to go on to a four year college. But if you don't, you are competing with college dropouts for jobs.

You don't have to, but unless you luck into something really good, a 2-year degree won't get you very far professionally. So many people have them these days, they've become somewhat generic. If you hope to advance professionally, you should get a minimum of a 4-year degree.

Ditto........Taski's answer, I might add you do not HAVE to go to a university, you could settle for an AA degree, but why should you settle?

Go ahead and get your Bachelor's Degree, you are already half-way there!!

Good Luck
