Since the US invaded Iraq, I've heard numbers as high as 600,000 dead Iraqis. I hope that is not true, but who knows.

counts cannot be accurate....

but 150,000 is the lower figure and 650,000 is extreme.

I've heard the 600,000 figure, too. When you count all the Iraqis who died in the first weeks of the war--noncombatants whose homes were bombed--then all those who have been killed by coalition troops and in sectarian violence, combined with all those who have died because of a lack of food, clean water and/or medical care, I would say the 600,000 figure is a very conservative estimate.

Whatever your answer may be multiply that by 2; the media nor the government will ever tell you the truth about casualties of war. As for the U.S. soldiers that have lost their lives in the war, just add 10 to that count each day you hear about it.

17,384 - Most are caused by terrorist not our troops!! If it were 600k that would have to be considered war crimes!!

Sad to think if Saddam would have allowed the UN inspectors in to look for means of weapon making, ALL of this could have been solved with sanctions and inspections and no deaths, no families torn apart!! To this day I don't understand his actions/bluff!
